Spring 2022 Alumni Council Update

Happy Spring! and congratulations to the Class of 2022 who will soon join the 320 members strong ranks of our proud alumni.

PhD/DBA class update

We soon will have 335 alumni (234 DM/DBAs, 101 PhDs.) Currently there are 58 full- and part-time students enrolled. They meet on campus three times a semester for in-person classes and virtually three times a semester via Zoom. There were six PhD students who met via Zoom two times each semester.

25TH ANNIVERSARY SILVER JUBILEE … Better late than never.

Now scheduled for October 2023 …

Your Alumni Council, faculty, the administration, and the anniversary planning committee have voted unanimously to postpone the celebration until October 2023. We care about everyone’s safety and want to ensure healthy travel and a safe gathering. On the bright side, 2023 will bring even more topicality to consider.

“Bring it home!” BECOME A WEATHERHEAD RESEARCH FELLOW!

If you are interested in continuing publishable practitioner-scholar research, join the 25 current Research Fellows. Read more about the Engaged Practitioner Scholarship program online. Even if you work at a university and have the scholarly resources needed to accomplish your research, you may not feel like you have a scholarly “home” that can help you shine. EPS offers a welcoming network of fellow scholars and the guidance to support your research which can make all the difference in your success.

Be “proud out loud?” TELL US WHAT YOU’RE UP TO!

We would love to hear about your achievements: publications, presentations, promotions, awards and new positions. We look forward to sharing your updates in DM Digest.

HELP WANTED!

Your Cohort Needs a Class Representative

Cohort Representatives gather updates from other members of their graduating class, reach out to them occasionally for updates, and forward the news they share. We post their updates in the quarterly DM Digest. If you would like to volunteer to be your cohort’s Representative, please send an email to Sue.

JOIN THE ALUMNI COUNCIL

Your Alumni Council helps ensure a return-on-investment from your degree by working on behalf of your interests. The latest example is the degree name change from DM to DBA. 2022-23 can be the year all alumni come together to benefit from, participate in and support alumni activities. To do that, we need to know how we can make your engagement more beneficial and valuable. Council members are responsible for staying current with alumni concerns. Participation requires one conference-call meeting per quarter, with occasional in-betweens for planning events. If you are interested in serving on the Alumni Council, please let Sue know.
