Mary Reidy, DM (MGT’ 01), reviewed nominations for the Responsible Research in Management Award. 

Daniel Cohen, DM (MGT '03, GRS '16, management), won the 2023 Pedagogical Innovation of the Year award at USASBE.

Cohen was honored to be the Keynote Speaker at The Summit for Transformative Learning on June 1st in St. Louis.

Craig Soaries, DBA (MGT '03), was honored to be awarded the Joseph A. Gore Faculty/Incentive Award for Excellence in Teaching for this academic year 2022-23 (Stillman College). Watch the ceremony here.

Frank Braun, DM (MGT '07), accepted the Dean position at the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh. Read the announcement here.

Humayun (Hugh) Rashid, DM (MGT '08), started a new position as Chief Executive Officer at NaviGAIT.

James K. Hayes, DBA (MGT '09), announced that he is a candidate to become the Republican nominee to run to represent the Pennsylvania 12th Congressional District in 2024. The announcement was picked up on Fox News and can be accessed here. 

Will Oliver, DBA (MGT '10), has been asked to take a full time Lecturer role in Isenberg Graduate School of Management at UMass Amherst.  He will be teaching courses in data analytics, and AI for business strategy.  He has taught an online course in healthcare data analytics as an adjunct at UMass for 4 years.

Mariana Amatullo, PhD (GRS ‘15, management), got promoted to Vice Provost and Academic Dean, Continuing and Professional Education.

Mike Fisher, PhD (GRS ‘15, management), former CTO of Etsy, has joined xLab as a technical advisor for student projects. Fisher is currently working with three xLab teams on different projects, all with a common theme of decentralized credentialed data sharing. Read what he's been working on with xLab.

Larry Straub, DM (MGT '15), did an interview for KSN (the NBC station in Wichita) on the addition of a 2,500 jobs employer. Integra Technologies will be producing semiconductor chips in a 1 million square foot factory. The interview and story were about the challenges for the metro area and region to facilitate and absorb this many new employees. Watch the interview here

Ted Ladd, PhD (GRS ‘16, management), continues to teach at Hult, Harvard and Stanford. He has joined the board of Nth Ventures, a venture studio incubating small companies.

Candace Steele, DM (MGT’ 16), secured a fully funded collaboration for her research with a professional organization, which has also adopted the SHAPE methodology from her recent book. An innovative assessment has been developed and will be integrated into a coaching program designed for Black female leaders, launching July 23.

She also has been contracted to design and conduct two leadership development weekend residencies at Johns Hopkins for BIPOC graduate students - one for the Carey Business School's leadership development program and the other for the Vivian Thomas Scholars initiative of Ph.D. STEM candidates. 

Additionally, she accepted a virtual graduate adjunct position at Baruch College starting on January 23. She is designing a corporate communications course on internal communications and change management.

Daryl Jones, DM (MGT '18), started a new position as Executive Director - Sports Education (Dallas campus), Abilene Christian University.

Rob Warren, DM (MGT ’19), led the team that organized the IRS Citizen Academy at Radford University on April 14, 2023.

John J. Schaffner, DBA (MGT '20), received the Working Pro award as an MBA Outstanding Elective Professor by the Class of 2023 from the Fisher Business School, The Ohio State University.

Alexis Rittenberger, (GRS '21, management), accepted the position of Director of Graduate and Professional Studies at Elmira College. 

Mike Bellissimo, (GRS '23, management), accepted an appointment to join the Management Department of the US Coast Guard Academy in New London, CT. 

Michael Cauley, (GRS '23, management), will be joining the Center for Research and Innovation in Systems Science at Vanderbilt as a faculty member.

Curtis A. Merriweather, Jr. announced (GRS '23, management), his candidacy for Mayor of North Charleston. Check out the website

Ivory J. Simms, (GRS '23, management), has been nominated as the Academy of Management, Management Consulting Division (MCD) Representative at Large. This is a three year appointment in which Ivory will serve in this role from 2023 to 2026.

Tshiya Subayi, DBA (MGT '23), placed third in the Three minute thesis competition held on February 17, 2023. Read the full article on Tshiya here.

Tshiya Subayi, DBA (MGT '23), received an invitation to lead a conversation from the Inamori International Center for Ethics and Excellence. Tshiya moderated the virtual discussion exploring ways you can implement effective strategies to secure better outcomes for mothers and children. 

Redda Ben Geloune, (PhD student), CEO of Groupe #Aitek, named in the Top 10 most inspiring CEOs of 2022 by CIO Views Magazine, the American magazine specialized in the new technologies sector, for his dedication to making Africa a better place.Discover his full portrait and inspiring story in this special "Top 10 Most Inspiring CEOs in 2022." 

Redda Ben Geloune, (PhD student), started a new position at “Institut Francais de Gestion” as a Director of MBA program for Africa and France. He will build this program dedicated to entrepreneurs (only) with the lens of AI and technology disruption.  

Redda Ben Geloune, (PhD student), has been appointed Director of the program of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at “Institut Français de Gestion” where he will create an “MBA 3.0” dedicated to entrepreneurs from all around the world.

Dereck L Faulkner, (DBA student), was re-elected President for the 2nd term to the NFL Players Association (NFLPA). 

Pankaj Vishram Jadhav, (DBA student), started a new position as MCTO Engineering Director at GE Appliances.

Roman Terekhin, (PhD student), received the Society for Human Resource Management Foundation Student Award (SHRM).

Roman also received a grant for his research on peer coaching groups from European Academy of Management (EURAM).

Reid Tileston, (DBA Student), has joined the The Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition (ETA) faculty at Weatherhead School of Management. Read more about the program here.
